Phase 2 of Ireland's Roadmap for reopening is now live

On Monday, 8 June 2020 we've entered into Phase 2 of Ireland's Roadmap for reopening.

As per the latest guidelines available on gov.ie website the following advice applies:

  • Stay Local: You may travel within your own county, or up to 20 kilometres from your home if crossing county boundaries.
  • Meeting other people: You may meet up to 6 people from outside your household both indoors and outdoors for social gatherings. Organised outdoor exercise, sporting, cultural or social activities of up to 15 people may take place.
  • Shops: All retail is reopening. Shop locally, shop safely and support businesses in your community.
  • Work from home: It is more important than ever to work from home where possible.
  • Transport: Walk or cycle if you can. Only use public transport if you absolutely need to. Public transport capacity is limited because of social distancing requirements.

Immigration Services Update

Immigration Services continue to respond to challenges posed by Covid-19 crisis. Below is a brief summary of some of the recent, temporary, policy updates.

  • Travelling to Ireland: you are required to self-isolate for 14 days. This includes Irish citizens coming home.
  • First Registration in the State: local registration offices are currently closed. apply to the Registration Office to request a letter confirming their permission to remain in the State.
  • Additional Time for Language Students: If you left Ireland, you may return and resume your studies. The duration of time you spent outside Ireland will not be taken into account towards the 2 years maximum period of English language study. If you are at the end of the 2 year stay but cannot return home, you have the possibility to extend your stay until the end of the year by re-enrolling on an online English course.
  • EU Treaty Rights and Domestic Residence Applications: It is now allowed to submit applications by email
